Best Books & Tools

Everyone has favorite books that have guided them, provided them with new insights and ideas or simply inspired them. Whenever I teach about growing your own food, class participants and blog visitors ask me about the books I have most enjoyed reading.... and what is on my own gardening bookshelf. I've provided some of my favorites below. And, life wouldn't be complete without my all-time favorite gardening tool. It is THE BEST THING that ever happened to my gardening. Yes, it comes in a long handled version, but for raised beds this is just fine. I received it labeled as a "Korean Weeding Hoe", but I see it's now listed as the "E-Z Digger"... which, in fact, it is.
